WashOS Release 10.10
WashOS Release 10.10
October 10, 2026
WashOS brings 1 update in this release, introducing a fully integrated cloud backend for AI Studio apps — giving your projects built-in database storage, user account management, and file storage without any external setup required.
AI Studio Cloud: A Built-In Backend for Your Apps
Your AI Studio apps can now have a real backend. You've built a great app in AI Studio, and now it needs to remember things — who's signed in, the photos people upload. Until now, that meant wiring up a backend yourself. Not anymore.
Open More → Cloud and turn it on from Overview. In about a minute, WashOS creates a private backend just for that project, with a database, user accounts, and file storage. There's nothing extra to connect. You can keep building while it sets up; if setup stops, your app is untouched and Try again picks up where it left off. AI Studio checks with you before it builds anything against Cloud.
Database — your app's memory. See every table, roughly how many rows it holds, and whether row-level security is on. Open a table to add rows, double-click a cell to edit it, or select rows to delete them. Need a new table or policy? Just ask AI Studio in chat and it handles the schema. Run Optimize for a health check, and use Daily Backups to snapshot your schema and rows — with Restore to roll back at any time.
Users — the people using your app. Watch signups on a chart and search people by email. Create new user adds someone already confirmed with no email sent. Auth settings lets you shape sign-in: email confirmation is required by default, you can close registration at any time with Allow new sign-ups, and passwords found in public breaches are automatically rejected.
Storage — where files live. Buckets hold uploads. Public buckets open for anyone with the link; private ones require sign-in. Upload, organize into folders, download, delete, rename, and copy URLs.
Advanced settings. Database size starts at Tiny (free) and scales through Mini, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. Pause stops access while keeping data safe; Resume wakes it. Remove Cloud permanently deletes that project's database, users, and files. A security advisor surfaces any critical issues on Overview before you publish.
⚡ The Play
If you're building client portals, onboarding flows, or internal tools in AI Studio, enable Cloud immediately — it replaces the need to pay for or configure a separate database, auth service, or storage bucket. Configure file storage buckets as private so client uploads are never exposed via a public URL, and pair that with email confirmation turned on so only verified users can access the app. After launch, keep the Users tab open in the first 48 hours to track activation rates and catch sign-in friction before clients raise a support ticket.
